Math

During this term we learned about Statistical Analysis. We touched upon types of graphs. Also, we delved deeper into the topic and learned about Census, Sample and Bias. Worksheets were given to us for weekend task. Nowadays, we are revising all the topics for the first FA of this term. We are trying to reconnect with our old concepts – algebra, percentage, fractions and graphs. To understand the unit better we did a newspaper activity. We had to find some real-life examples on the current unit. Next Monday we will have our Formative Assessment.

We used Grid brainstorming to list different lifestyle issues that impact our health and identified people (our probable clients) around us facing such issues. We identified and discussed ways to campaign for raising awareness and came up with ideas like videos, posters and advertisements. Each one of us has selected a lifestyle issue and will soon start creating drafts of awareness posters.

We started this term with an exciting presentation based on festivals and celebrations around the world. We obtained a rough idea on the topic (festivals and celebration around the world) and then divided ourselves into groups. The main target of the group activity was to create a unit planner, which included the key concepts, related concept, global context, unit title and key words based on the student’s perspective. Last term, we were taught how to conjugate only “er” ending verbs. Now we are elaborating on various types of verbs, e.g. er, ir, re and how to conjugate them.
